The central question for Grade 4 is: How do words and actions affect us?
The purpose of this blog is to explore the central question.
The audience is Grade 4 students, other students, teachers and anyone who finds it on the web (!).

In my life words and actions have effected me a lot.They made me both happy and sad.They might sy something or they might do something good or bad.once someone called me names and they still do.

I feel happy when I am near my friends,people who say good things about me and share things with me.People are not always nice you know? People who push you and say bad things are not nice.
one time i heard that whenever people say words nobody can destroy what they say or erase what they say so you have to be careful about what you say i am always careful when i say something.

Martin Luther King's speech encoured lots of people by saying "I HAVE A DREAM". And people beilved that they have the right to do what white people did.Then one day a man shot Martin Luther King. Thousands of people came to his funirel.
Martin luther kings speech gave a message to everyone to beleive that who cares if they are dark skinned they still should have the same rites as other white people and because Martin Luther King was such a good man he helped other dark skinned people beleive they had the same rites i beleive Martin Luther King is a good man.
The actions and words of Martin luther king was "i have dream" and Martin Luther king's dream came true that someone will protect the U.S.A. Obama did what Martin luther king said of his dream.i didn't do something that herioc .i'm a girl in grade 4 also i'm 9 and a half in ms.Duffs class!!!!
Martin Luther King was a very good man he helped stop the black and white stop what i mean is he helped the black get what they want like what seat they want in the bus and he also went to jail beacause of that and a man shot him and he died and It was a white man who shot him.
Martin Luther Kings words and actions helped the futher and his time. He made black people have the same respect as the white people. And he did it with out war.
Some of his actions were waking with the black people. His famous words were "I have a dream". Some people did not like him. He was in jail for 3 years. And he got murderd!
My dream is to help the poor.I know how to help them.Each day I will put at least 25cent in a jar.Just like my parent does.If you want to help the poor,you could do the same thing just like me.

i think that saying nice,kind and polite words helps you in life becuase if you get hurt or you are sad your friends will try to cheer you up.if you aren`t nice your friends won`t help you.

Words and actions effect us by what they mean. They are very big things. If they are positive, they are nice things. If they are negitive, they can hurt someone's fellings.

once i left my scooter with my mom and my mom went to look for my little brother.When my mom came back my scooter wasn't there.When i came back i got really mad at my mom and little brother.til this day i still remember my good,fast scooter.that scooter saved my life. once there was some bully in a park and i had amy scooter.the bully hit me really hard.i took my scooter and hit him back and the bully ran away.then after a few days i saw my scooter in the park.i went to take it butt a boy said it was his scooter.
