We have many interesting ideas on the blog. I have enjoyed reading and thinking about them. I would like to take the thinking to a higher level. So, I have a new question:
What connections can you make between the comments on the blog? The connections that you make need to help us understand the question of the blog - the power of words and actions. The last sentence of your post should say what your connections have taught you about the power of words and actions.
For example:
Some of the comments in response to Ms. Panagopoulos' post about the Big Ideas in Books talk about never giving up. This connects to Martin Luther King's 'I have A Dream' speech when he says "even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream". Dr. King is talking about how talking about your dreams, and working together can help us to change the world for the better. Barack Obama becoming the president of America is a symbol of how words and actions have made a difference - the words and actions of thousands of people (including Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, Ghandi, the ordinary people who boycotted the buses in Montgomery, everyone who marched for civil rights and many, many more) contributed to this event. I didn't see the play 'The Forbidden Pheonix', but I wonder if there are any connections to the idea of dreams and working together helping change the world.
From these connections, I have learned that words and actions are powerful when we share our dreams and work together, without giving up, to make them come true.

Through this experience of writing and thinking in the blog. I have learned that when Words and Actions are used they effect others in so many different ways. The main thing here is when you put every little thing I've and we've wrote the special and main thing is that one word Powerful so many things are powerful your dreams are your thougths are and words and actions are too.
I have a connection to Barack Obama's speech. He said powerful words that mean big things. Like, "If you unclench your fist, we will extend our hand." And to Martin Luther King Jr's speech. He also said powerful words which affected the world. These connections help me understand that words and actions are big and powerful things.
from this experience of thinking & writing i learned that my actions & words effected the others around me.
Martin Luther King Jr's gives out a lot of good speeches and he said that " I have a dream that little girls and boys will join in hand in hand"and his dream came true!These connections tell me understand that powerful speeches can create powerful things

I've learned that if you work together it's easier like they say " Two heads are bigger than one". If you put everything together you get a big ball of ideas but the blog sorts it out so that people can read everyone's awesome comments about words and action so if they say " nice comment" those words have affected you in a nice way.
I have learned that words and action is something that can effect you in many diffrent ways.
Some examples of working together are : Holding two sides of a skipping rope , helping one another , sharing , and more there are so many examples of working together you too can also work together. Like they say " One stick can break,but a bundle can't."
This well be pretty cool to work on this, don't ya think dudes?
I would say that words and actions are really powerful and can effect us alot. And is some books, also have this ieda on explaining it. And Barack Obama has used words and actions in a deffrent way. He told his dream to everyone and keeps on beliveing it to make it true. And the play we saw was great to watch and fun to learn. Learning by his words on saying sorry is really powerful to change someones mind. And all the other words. Now when we came to this, it's a great was on thinking on are thinking.

are the most powerful things that can help you and save your life.
I learned that words and action could make people sad and happy.You could make people happy by telling themkind things.If you say something mean you could hurt peoeples feeling.
If you have anything nice to say say it if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it.You could bring your dreams all together and you could work together and your thoughts are your dreams.

my first time i rode my 2 wheeler bike. i fell down and my leg got bleeded.my mom came and helped me.she took me home and scraped the blood off my knee.it made me feel better
